Australian website for a Chinese spirits distributor

Singapore-based Chinese spirits distributor (unnamed)

Home page of the anonymised recreation of the distributor website

The Australian arm of a Singapore-based Chinese spirits distributor had no public site of its own. I built a multi-page brochure website for products, company information, news, and enquiries.

At a glance

  • Problem: The Australian operation of a Singapore-based Chinese spirits distributor (including baijiu) had no dedicated public website. They needed somewhere local to show products, explain the Australian business, post short updates, and take enquiries, without an online shop.
  • What I did: Designed and built a five-page brochure site: home, brands, Australian operations, news, and contact.
  • What changed: The Australian team had a clear public presence for that market: products, company information, news, and a path for trade and corporate enquiries, instead of relying on the parent company's overseas site alone.
  • When: Delivered November 2023. The original site is no longer public after later corporate restructuring.
ℹ About this recreation

The client is unnamed here. The original site came down after restructuring. The linked demo is an anonymised recreation of the page structure and visual hierarchy: fictional branding, copy, and contact details. It isn't the live client website and isn't an official site for any real business.

The problem

The Australian team needed a public presence for their market: somewhere to show the products (Chinese spirits, including Moutai-related baijiu lines), explain the local operation, post short updates, and take enquiries.

The brief was light. They didn't need a store. A calm corporate brochure site was enough, aimed at people already looking for the brand or the local contact, not at e-commerce.

The parent company was based in Singapore. Without a local site, Australian visitors had nowhere obvious to land for that market.

The approach

Keep it simple: a small brochure site for one market, not a shop and not a rebuild of the parent company's overseas site. Five pages covered what the Australian team needed to show and how people could get in touch.

How it worked

Five pages:

  • Home. A large banner, the lines carried in Australia, and a footer with the Singapore headquarters (street address withheld in the recreation), the Australian email, opening hours, and social channels.
  • Our Brands. Three product sections, with short descriptions of the spirits lines written in generic terms for this write-up.
  • Australian Operations. The about page for the Australian side of the business.
  • News & Events. A simple list of short business updates.
  • Contact. A contact form, including a path for corporate or investment enquiries.

Colours were dull gold, muted red, off-white pages, and a navy footer. The site was a straightforward static build, not a CMS or shop platform.

The outcome

By November 2023, the Australian operation had a site that covered products, company information, news, and enquiries for that market.

After later restructuring and consolidation, the original site was removed or migrated with related websites. The recreation above keeps the original page structure and visual hierarchy so the work can still be reviewed. I don't have traffic or enquiry figures from the engagement.
